If all goes as planned, you'll get a 10×10 foot tent in the pits, Make it more awesome by getting a banner to put on your tent to show the world (and your driver) where your pit is!

Here's the Milwaukee Makerspace banner. It's 6 feet wide and 2 feet tall.

Just because you're riding on a toy designed for a five year old doesn't mean you should act like one.

Be respectful to other teams. This is fun. Do not take it too seriously. There will be penalties for taking it too seriously. If you drive too aggressively, the Grim Reaper will punish you. You have been warned.

Build a Track

You need barriers to keep the racers and the crowd separated.

Things we have used:

	* Tires
	* Straw Bales
	* Highway Barriers (filled with water)
	* Plastic Totes (filled with water)

If using tires or straw bales you can rope them together. Same with plastic totes. The highway barriers typically lock together with connector pieces.

Moxie is the secret sauce of the Power Racing Series. It's sort of 'style points' as it were.

Basically you want to get the crowd to vote for you, and you get points. Slow cars have managed to win races just on Moxie points. Seriously.

At some point it was decided that Sweet Ramps would allow for Sweet Jumps.

Here's a write-up from Brice of Baltimore Burners:

As there has been interest (From Jim, mostly) in using ramps in every corner at every race, here's my ramp dimensions in case anyone wants to build a ramp for testing/racing/sweet stunts.

Shopping List

Here's the list of things Maker Faire Milwaukee bought... YMMV, and I'll explain more later.

Flags

You can certainly make your own, but we wanted them fast and had other things to do. (We used PVC pipe for the handles and zip ties to attach the flags.)

Jim has some advice on the mailing list, and here's another PPPRS Race Checklists.

Here's a few things for your checklist:

The actual thing you plan to race:

	* Extra Batteries if needed
